As I was conducting my final preparation for my Endurance Leadership workshop next week at the American Psychological Association Convention, I made a sobering realization: of the nine humans depicted in slides, only ONE of them was not White (stock photo of a Black man looking stressed!) Wow. I suddenly had an image of my biases marching up to me, saluting, and saying, “We are ready for action, ma’am!” But what I’ve learned over the past year is that recognizing my biases is a critical step in addressing and overcoming them. #progressnotperfection

Those who attend my session will now see a better picture of diverse talent in sports and in the office – amazing people that can inspire us to lead successfully for the long term. #enduranceleadership #leadershipignited #apa2021 SCP Society of Consulting Psychology
